The most useful IEM ranking list the one from Joker a few years back. Amazingly helpful list but I think it’s out of date or mostly offline now, sadly.

There is only a 1Z here in the office and no 1A. The Z1R went back to Sony after the loan period, (a first for Sony SEA with us for any such loan) over 2 years ago. The 1Z and I believe the 1A does have Bluetooth but as you say it does not have any apps service so that means streaming from your phone to your DAP and that’s not terribly useful. If that is your basis then the SP1000M is the more practical choice.

Which do you think could pair better with the Sony IER-Z1R.
Sony WM-1A or the A&Ultima SP1000M?

I know that the WM-1A is not compatible for Streaming music as it lacks Wi-fi and Bluetooth service.
Whereas the A&Ultima SP1000M has both those options and also EQ settings.

Hope you can help me choose the best DAP. Eagerly awaiting for your reply.

CL2 has a weird timbre, edgy treble and problematic midrange performance IMO. It’s a niche product.
